What is going on, some people ask, since my twitter feed and FB updates went a bit quiet. Well, for one thing it’s November, which means I take every opportunity I can to write on my NaNoWriMo novel. It’s not going to well, I haven’t even cracked 14k words yet, but there is still time. I don’t feel stressed though. I like my story, I enjoy writing it, I’m doing it at a slower pace this year. Even if I don’t hit the 50k mark I’m still going to feel pleased I wrote something at all. Me and Oakfairy discussed this the other day: one should write some more during other months than November, really. So I’m thinking about starting a “One tiny story a week” project next year. Maybe. We’ll see.
What else have kept me busy? I’ve been gaming, of course! Halo Reach, Fable III, some odds and ends on my list (I have a list of a bunch of old games I never completely finished, it’s like an itch). I have so many games I need to finish before new years! What is a poor gamer girl to do? So many games, so little time! Also I’ve been crafting a lot. And taking photographs. And cuddled with my boo. I need to multitask more…
Anyway, other than all above, I also got a new job. Finally. It’s within the same company but in a different department, the work hours are more normal but most importantly it’s so much more challenging that what I used to do, and have been doing for the last 3½ years, so I’ve had to kick my brain into gear again. I come home exhausted every day, there are a lot of new stuff to learn. I’m and part of starting something new at the company, and I feel very excited about it, I just know I’m going to do an awesome job. They have no idea what forces they have set free 😉
And next week I’m turning 32. I am celebrating this by not lifting a finger to celebrate it. I can do that, see, because I’m that old now.
